Winning Legions

Sylvilagus floridanus (Eastern Cottontail - Card# SE1-64)
The Rabbit card was designed with fate disasters in mind. When defending against an opponent's fate disaster you can use the Rabbit's "Pure Luck" ability to guarantee the safety of one of your trees. When attacking with the Thunderstorm disaster, you can also combo the Rabbit's "Pure Luck" ability (It only costs one Sol) to guarantee removal of an opposing tree. Really useful for tough trees. The Rabbit's "Blind Luck" ability also gives important trees a second chance at survival in disaster ravaged habitats. Since it is a small critter, the Rabbit is prone to being eaten.

Winning Moves

Growing Trees (Seedling Stage+)
Always think before growing a tree. Usually you must choose between two trees to grow into the canopy. Before deciding which tree to grow consider the following: 1) which tree costs less to grow; 2) which tree will be stronger in tree combat, if it remains in the understory; and 3) which tree is more likely to survive disasters and remain in the habitat's canopy.

Weather Cards (Timber Stage+)
Your weather cards should support your disaster cards. If you have the Wildfire Disaster card be sure to include the Drought Weather Card in your Legion (or else you may never be able to use the Wildfire). If you select several fire disasters, include weather cards with positive fire modifiers that are capable of augmenting the strength of your fire disasters.

Opposing Command (Timber Stage+)
Pay attention to your opponent's Command. While you will not know exactly which cards your opponent possesses, you can tell how many trees and how many other cards are in their Command by looking at the card backs. Sometimes you can figure out their current strategy by the card distribution.
