Mutation Cards |
Introduced in the Elder Stage
Game Use: You can use Mutation cards in two (2) ways: as Permanent or Temporary mutations. You can attach a mutation card to one of your trees as a Permanent Mutation. Permanent Mutations augment a tree's strengths and abilities for as long as the tree remains in play. You can also spend the mutation cards during a tree combat to temporarily increase the strength of your tree and aid in defeating an opposing tree. This is a Temporary Mutation and the card as well as the strength increase are lost after the combat.
Description: There are eight (8) different Mutation cards. Each card discusses a different anatomical part of a tree. The Permanent Mutation abilities are based on the actual functions of the tree part discussed. The card also presents a technical illustration and descriptive paragraph of the tree part.
Real World Applications: By reading and playing the Mutation cards, you can learn the name, appearance and function of different tree parts.
