Mighty Trees crowns first Summer League Champion

Rob McElroy won the inaugural Mighty Trees Summer League Championship by defeating the top seed, Sheila Greer, three habitats to one. After falling behind two habitats to none in the consolation game, Harrison McElroy, Rob McElroy's son, staged a furious rally to capture three straight habitats and defeat Taelor Keefe in an epic battle for third place.

The four other qualifiers for the tournament were: Brandon McGill, Jason O'brien, Derrick Spurlock and Wesley Stein. McElroy claimed the top prize of $75. All eight tournament qualifiers received commemorative bead bags.
"I think Mighty Trees is a great game and thoroughly enjoy playing it." declared Rob McElroy, whose family postponed a trip to Disneyworld to participate in the Tournament. "I am ready to play in the next league."
